Restrict the contribution status (only paid - not paid)
September 27, 2011, 01:54:57 am
Dear all,

I want to know if there's a way to administrate the contribution status list ( Completed, Pending, Cancelled, Failed, In Progress, Overdue) to become only (Paid, Not paid)?

Best regards,
Fred

currently no. CiviCRM uses those statuses in its code to modify things based on incoming requests. I'd highly recommend you do not change those status'es. Adding more is fine.

One work-around might be to introduce a custom field to do the needful

agreed.  pending, cancelled and failed status in particular are driven by the merchant processing account and are legitimate status necessary to keep accurate records.
