Civimail causes an Internal Server Error
September 27, 2011, 03:19:05 am
When I start my emailing with http://<mydomain>/administrator/index.php?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/mailing/queue&reset=1  I receive an Internal Server Error. Still the mailing starts and delivers my newslettre several times to my contacts. At least some of them are receiving the newslettre twice, but I/ve got it six times.

The mailreport sais that no mail is delired, but Track opens is above 90 now and I know that contacts has received the newslettrs (several times).

I've upgraded to Civicrm 3.4.5 but it didn't help.

I'm totally puzzeled, so if anyone has any clue where to start solving this problem, you could make me very happy.

Second question: Is there a target emaillist for testing Civimail on a couple of hundred addresses? I'm willing to be on such a list in order to help others to test a bulkmailing.

First thing is to ask your host to see what error was recorded in the Apache error log.

There is not such a list as of yet. If there is interest, we could make one, but my guess is that the interest will be low.

The apache error log sais

[Tue Sep 27 09:34:58 2011] [error] [client 86.83.8.18] Premature end of script headers: index.php
[Tue Sep 27 09:41:38 2011] [error] [client 86.83.8.18] Premature end of script headers: index.php

I started the mailing a second time, as I saw that it didn`t completed rigth.

Are there any specialrequirements for Civimail, like max_execution time of memory_limits?

Thanks in advance

Generally speaking, no.

I'm afraid however that I don't know what the issue is with your install. Perhaps check your outgoing mail logs...
