Country / Province drop downs...
January 30, 2008, 12:20:10 pm
Hi, I've got CiviCRM Installed in Drupal. Am trying to create an event in CiviEvent and I have no Country or Province drop down.

When I try and save, it gives me the following errors, even though I have typed things out ...

So - not sure why I have no drop down - if there's a CCK set I need or something?

Please advise.

Cheers,

Adam

I went in to the localization settings and added Canada/US for province data and all the countries for country data. The country field is actually not even presenting me with a drop down. It's an edit text box.
Hmm... Interesting...

Can anyone assist? I'm stopped dead in my product eval now ...

Those 2 fields are special combo boxes rendered through our Ajax library - dojo. The likely reason for your problem is that your Resource URL setting is incorrect which is causing the javascript files to not get loaded. If your browser has a Javascript error console or indicator - you'll probably see an error there.

Check the value under Administer CiviCRM >> Global Settings >> Resource URLs

You may also see image-related problems on CiviCRM pages as a symptom of this - for example double titles / no icons on the admin page.
