I have admin privileges and can set the "Status Override?" to many different members.

I have one member for whom I cannot change the "Status Override?". Instead of a checkbox, I have an empty "[ ]"

The membership is set to end June 15th, 2014 . Automatic renewal is:

Code: [Select]

Membership renewed automatically [x]
What conditions determine if Status Override is editable or not?

I have looked in the source code to see what variables will determine what HTML is printed for Status Override but to no avail.

I don't think you can use Status Override when the membership is set to renew automatically (and it probably doesn't make sense to do so since you've "told" the payment processor to do a recurring payment on that membership). You can try unchecking that flag and then see if you can override the status - but not sure what effect that will (or should) have on the auto-renew process. You may need to cancel that "subscription" with the processor.
