I'm looking at CiviCRM to manage a once-a-year cabin retreat event, with roughly 200-300 attendees. Registration is complex, with multiple pricing options: member, non-member, early bird, children, family, etc..., and of course we'd like one registration form to be able to handle multiple attendees at these different rates.

We ask our attendees to volunteer an hour of their time during the weekend for chores such as Parking, Food Service, Registration Desk, Taxi Cart Drivers, Stage Help, etc..., and would like them to be able to choose their chore and pick their one-hr shift during registration. I was thinking that a shopping cart could manage this by setting up each 1hr shift as inventory of the different products (chores). Can CiviCRM integrate that kind of functionality?

We also would like registrants to be able to volunteer to lead Workshops on whatever topic they like. We run as many as 6 of these simultaneously throughout the weekend, at different locations. Can CiviCRM handle collecting this info at Registration and help automate scheduling/calendaring?

Can CiviCRM create a calendar of activities within the event, using data entered during registration?

I will be using Joomla 1.5.23 until 1.8 is released and matures a bit.
