Upgrade to 3.4.6 causes error with CiviContribute
September 30, 2011, 02:13:10 pm
I just upgraded from 3.3 to 3.4.6 (following the upgrade instructions closely) and now all of my contribution pages are broken with this error "This contribution page has been configured for contribution on behalf of an organization and the selected onbehalf profile is either disabled or not found."

The on behalf profiles appears to be present, and I can edit it and preview fields without problems.

I am unable to edit the contribution page because the UI is screwed up and doesn't display the contents of any of the tabs in the the contribution page editor.  Screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/AfrrnIVvH9

FWIW, I have tried reinstalling CivicRM twice and reverting to garland.

and then yes you need to get back to Title and Settings - and select the 'on behalf of' profile

seems like this could be an upgrade problem that will hit everyone who has a 'on behalf of' contribution page from previous era

wondering if the upgrade process could set the 'on behalf of' profile as the default if none is selected ??

would be good to know where this setting is in the DB (hunted hi and low) so we don't have to go through all our 'on behalf of' pages for clients and setting the correct profile to show

Yup, it was the jquer_update module.  It was also causing other problems that all resolved once I disabled it.  It seems to be completely incompatible with the jquery 1.8.11 version in CiviCRM 3.4.6.  I tried manually updating the files in the module with 1.8 versions and had no luck.

Hi - check http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-8774 - I did spot this before 3.4.6 went out the door but obviously wasn't clear enough in my comments ( actually between two different sites with different symptoms / reasons for incompatibility I lost most of a day on it)

3.4.7 I guess - whenever that may be. I suggested the issue get fixed for then on the comment log when I re=opened it - but I meant the site-breaking bit should be reversed in the mean time & I guess it wasn't clear

i had 2 issues:
1. jquery_update broke the civicrm menu and various functions
2. on_behalf_of profile issue.

Patches made things worse - had to disable jquery_update (alpha 2.0) on D6 and fix on_behalf issue.

not a smooth update this round ....

I just verified that we did NOT handle setting this in the 3.4.6 upgrade - which should have been done :-( I've filed an issue for 3.4.7 to handle it properly (in cases where it hasn't been fixed manually). http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-8979

The easiest way to fix this issue via the UI is:
* Manage Contribution Pages
* Configure -> Title and Settings
* Select the pre-configured 'On Behalf of Organization' profile from the Organization Profile dropdown

If you want or need to deal with this programmatically, the setting is stored as a row in the civicrm_uf_join table. Here's an example of in insert statement which sets it. In this example the profile ID is 9 and the contribution page ID is 1. The 'module' column value must be 'OnBehalf' as shown below:

Code: [Select]
INSERT INTO `civicrm_uf_join`
(`is_active`, `module`, `entity_table`, `entity_id`, `weight`, `uf_group_id`)
VALUES
(1, 'OnBehalf', 'civicrm_contribution_page', 1, 1, 9);
