[solved] Additional name for event location and not only address
October 03, 2011, 06:40:51 am
Hello,

is there a way to put in and display an additional name for an event location and not only the address?

For example, if the event takes place in an office building where several companies reside, there should be a name of the company, the event takes place. Otherwise it would be hard to find out what door one should knock on.
Another example. Sometimes everybody knows the name of a building, a place ore so on but nobody knows the correct address.

In the database I saw, that event locations are stored like contacts. I wonder if it is possible to create a contact and use it as an event location? Unfortunately I found no way to do it.

Greetings

Would it not be easier to add a custom data set for events and hold your additional address data there?

Have you tried enabling the 'Address Name' option (on the Configure/Global/Addresses from memory) and using that?
