Membership-type Pricesets are missing "text/numeric quantity" type fields

I have set up a new priceset of type "Membership". I have already added a price set field of type "select" that lets someone choose their membership type. I have also added a radio button field to allow someone to purchase a book.   I was planning to add a price set field of type "text/numeric quantity" so someone could purchase one or more bracelets, but this option is missing.

Is this a bug? The "text/numeric quantity" option is available for event and contribution type price sets.

That would be a great added feature (I don;t think it is a bug, but just not part of the original scope)

I would love to see a price set  models that would allow  memberships, events, contributions (or donations) plus other items  linked to one common invoice/contribution record
added feature would allow variable amounts (needed for donations) or variable quantities

Goal would be to have a universal  priceset that could be used in any contribution, membership or event page; plus allow member or group/role based discounts.


Can we make this a new MIH project to extend price sets?   (there is a current MIH  for member discounts, can we extend that?

This is insane! I just ran up against this as well.  One would expect that a price set is a price set is a price set, and that the price set field options available for event price sets are the same as the price set field options available for membership price sets.
