Installing CiviCRM on Acquia Dev Cloud

Anyone done this? The Acquia Dev Cloud includes a custom method for having multiple versions of Drupal databases in synch. I can't get my head round if/how one can install CiviCRM on this platform, and having installed it, how the Civi install can keep in synch with the multiple versions of Drupal and Civi (assuming a separate db for Civi).

I can't find any information about using Civi on Acquia's support pages.

I know the post is pretty old. But this reply is for people coming from google to get Civi crm on a seperate database to work in Acquia CLoud.

I pushed the civicrm.settings.php file from dev to stag to prod. Then I edited them in stag and prod to reflect to their corresponding db and then added this file to gitignore.
