Email address field

Hi,
I have notice when ever I enter an email address on the system it changes its case. For example I have a member whose email address is CiviCrm@example.com, if I type that in and save it is displayed as civicrm@example.com. Is there a way I would configure the system to not change the case of the data that is entered?

My system details are: Joomla 1.6 civicrm 4.0.4

no flag to do so. I'm pretty sure the email RFC says that case is not important in email addresses. For more efficient searching someone proposed a patch which was accepted in core
