Selecting more than one Premium
October 12, 2011, 03:41:52 pm
I'm trying to use the premiums functionality as a very crude shop, with a contribution page with just premiums and no other donation. I can obviously list the 6 items and select suitable profiles etc OK.

However it appears that premiums are only by radio button so you can't select more than one - is it possible to have them as tick boxes instead? Would it just be a case of fiddling with a template file or is underlying code not able to handle that?

Thanks.

What about using price sets for the contribution instead of premiums? Seems like you could get a lot done with that. (Not sure how that plays on Joomla!, but should work, right?)

Thanks. I have considered price sets, but what I'm trying to do (and I appreciate that this is not what it was designed for) is to use it as a sort of shop for 6 items. Since I can't tell who will want to buy what and in what combinations the pricing sets could be a mile long.

I can give them a free text box to add up the total themselves, and I can show them the list of items. It would just be handy if they could select more than one!

If I can get this to work it would be helpful as it would tie in with our other club records. As far as I know there is no bridge to Virtuemart (or anything else) in Joomla so this would be a neat solution for the small scale sales we are making.
