Hi, I hope this is the right forum for this? Apologies if not.

I have just been approached by a client running CiviCRM within a Drupal install and they have said that a few weeks ago their scheduled mailing function was working fine and then suddenly stopped completing scheduled mails. They would start but not finish.

I'm a Drupal novice and have been through the tutorials and forums and checked through the DB and code (they claim they haven't touched any of it before it stopped working) and all seems ok. I have however, found a very large log file in /sites/default/files/civicrm/templates_c/en_US/ConfigAndLog and this is showing the following errors:

Now I have searched through the forum and have found similar errors but with different codes so am stumped as to what to do with this.

Do I need to rewrite the unsubscribe function (as recommended in another post) or is it something more complicated (or simple)?

I've also just noticed a string of corrupt characters just after the above message.

It won't let me post exactly how they look so I've attached a screenshot. Has anyone seen this before?

1. u can truncate the log file and see the new error messages u get

2. What version on CiviCRM are they? if 3.1.2, thats quite old and not supported. i'm not sure we remember any of the issues/bugs there. An upgrade is recommended

3. The unsubscribe fatal error is not related to the "send mailing" problem. unsubscribe is a separate issue, IMO

I recommended an upgrade but they wanted to "just get it fixed on the cheap"

Looks like they'll have to reconsider
