VERP Address in "Reply-to" rather than "Return-Path"
October 13, 2011, 02:53:55 pm
The emails generated from CiviMail are adding the VERP address to the "Reply-to" rather than the "Return-path" address.
Shouldn't the VERP be in the "Return-Path"? Most of the bounced emails are not being tracked because they are going to the non-VERP'ed address in the "Return-Path".

Hi,

you got two verps: one for the bounce and one for the reply. The one you show (r.) is for reply indeed.

1) update to a more recent civi, a lot of thinks have been improved since 3.1 (if your profile is correct). That's probably why the return-path isn't correct (it should be with a b.)
2) you can disable the verping of the reply to (on the second step, about tracking replies)
