Creating an auto-renew membership from the back-end
October 16, 2011, 05:41:00 pm
I have several membership types that are set as "auto-renew" required.  This works as expected in the self-service areas as I have a CiviContribute page set up to require auto-renew for people joining as members.

But if someone calls the office staff, there does not seem to be a way for the staff of the organization to create the auto-renew membership in the back-office area.

BTW: I am using Authorize.net with ARB as the payment processor.

Any ideas?

This is definitely available in the current release (and any release that supports auto-renew memberships afaik). Two criteria need to be met on the Submit Credit Card Membership form:
1. Pick supported processor (Auth.net is one of them)
2. Pick a membership type that has Auto-renew optional or required.

When both criteria met, an additional checkbox appears on the form:
[ ] Membership renewed automatically
