Using the <template>.extra.tpl - can I hide data
October 19, 2011, 08:03:05 am
With 3.4.3/4.0.3 we have the cool feature of using the <template>.extra.tpl to customize templates with stuff like adding jQuery - see Dave Greenberg's blog post http://civicrm.org/blogs/dave-greenberg/now-its-easier-add-custom-behaviors-templates.

I am just wondering if I can use the extra.tpl functionality to make data on the template depending on some condition? Say normally I show a certain element on the template, but if the logged in user is "Erik" I want to hide this element? According to the blog post I should be able to, but I just wondered if anyone out there has an example..........plzzzzzzzzzzzzz  ;D
