Dashboard not visible
April 23, 2007, 04:16:36 am
Hello,

I am new to civiCRM and like it looks like a great tool to me. In my test installation of Drupal (5) are currently 3 users signed up. All of them belong to the same group, only one of them is a administrator. I have configured Drupal to show the civiCRM dashboard in the user's profile, yet the dashboard is still only shown in the administrator's profile.
Did I  miss something to configure elsewhere either in civiCRM or Drupal?

Thanks in advance for your help,
spida

1. What error message does it give you when a user tries to access the dashboard

2. By configured, do you mean, you have set Drupal permissions to allow that set of users to see the Contact Dashboard. If not, you'll have to enable that permission

Hi Lobo,
Thank you for your reply and questions.
a) I don't get an error message, the dashboard is simply not displayed.
b) the rights "access_all_userdata" and "access_dashboard" are set.

That's why I wonder whether I forgot something else or whether I probably didn't understand the concept of dashboard wrong. Isn't it kind of an overview for everybody registered or is it just for administrators?

Best regards,
spida

Spida:

1. what does the page say? is it blank?

2. the relevant permission is: user the civicrm module (in admin/user/acess) and is called

access Contact Dashboard

not sure where you get the rights (access_all_userdata and access_dashboard, neither of them are CiviCRM rights)

your understanding of the dashboard is right. It is a view of a contacts activities for a user. The user has to be logged in.
