Documentation for 4.x > 4.x+1 upgrades?
October 24, 2011, 02:40:34 pm
Can't seem to find anything other than 3.x > 4.x. I'm skittish about upgrading and would like to follow a step-by-step process, if there is one documented. Thanks for any leads.

You may run steps 1,2,5,6,7,9,15,16

from http://wiki.civicrm.org/confluence/display/CRMDOC40/Upgrade+Drupal+Sites+to+4.0

and that should be sufficient. That is what I do anyhow.

Thanks. Is there a specific reason to deliberately avoid disabling modules integrated with CiviCRM (step 4), or do you just feel it's unnecessary?

It's not necessary. Of course anything CAN go wrong so you should have a full backup, but I never do that step for a minor upgrade.

Thanks Hershel, this method worked perfectly from 4.1b2 to b3 without issue.
