How to connect/link 2 profiles
October 25, 2011, 10:50:50 am
Hello,

I have used CiviCRM to create some profiles as user input forms. I need to link/connect them.

There are 3 profiles--
Name and address
Demographics
Education

Issue is : When the user fills in all 3 forms--the form is complete; however the user does not know when the form is complete as he can go in  and fill in any of the profiles.

How do I customize , so that once the user fills in the first form, it takes him to the second...and then to the third one.

Also by default all CiviCRM profiles have a SAVE button . How do I change them to submit instead???

Please advice

Thanks
ND

In the Profile there is an Adv Settings where you can specify the redirect - does putting your next Profile url in there do what you need.

You might also want to consider using the Webform CiviCRM module as you can then use the webform features of 'saving draft' or 'multipage forms'

Thanks.
For the first option, i.e the  putting the redirect url---
When I (as first user) click on Name and address section the url is--- https://test.mysite.edu/?q=user/1/edit/NameandAddress

So what should be the redirect url for the next section as user 2, user3,  ... user n.

Thanks
