Online contribution page customization

Hi,

I have been searching and looking around in forums and wikis. I haven't found any information that I need. So, can anyone suggest me or guide me if it's that possible to custom an online contribution page (e.g changing layout, pull out images from database)?

And if it's possible to do, where should I start to hacking/extending it?

You can customize the template for your pages or you can try jQuery: http://civicrm.org/blogs/hershel/how-customize-civicrm-pages-jquery

Those are the two easiest options I think.
