Import Error
November 04, 2011, 01:34:07 pm
I have been importing a series of CSV files and have been encountering one specific problem. For many of the CSV files that I have been importing (not all), I have been getting the same error message. The message says "Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred. DB Error: Already Exists."I tried breaking up rows into separate spread books and adjusting the dedupe rule. Nothing has worked so far. I would really appreciate any input.

I'm trying to research what a "table" is exactly, but I am not exactly sure. So how would I exactly go about deleting tables?

"Table" here refers to a MySQL table. Probably your host provides phpMyAdmin. You will need to go to the phpMyAdmin page and select your CiviCRM database and then find the tables in question. Then there will be an option somewhere to DROP each table. This you must do one by one.

Thank you guys for your great feedback so far. But I am still having trouble. Is there a way to check whether my host provides phpMyAdmin? I am not sure where and how I can access it. Sorry about the continuing trouble.

If they gave you a control panel, look there. If not, I would say you should ask them.
