Time consumption of importing each contact is increasing.

Time consumption of importing each contact is increasing.i was trying to import 10 contact , the time consumption as below,

 1st .2 second
 2nd .3 second
 3rd .4 second
 4th .45 second
 5th .5 second ......

 anybody can tell me what might be the problem?

How do you evaluate the time of each import?

Would be great if you can investigate, in my experience it doesn't increase in a linerar/expoential way.

Manually i put time stamp statement in import function and i noted that the timing is increasing for each contacts.
