how to register and assign new participant to users' current group?

Currently, there are 2 groups of contacts in the system.
(1) contacts in Group A are only visible to Team 1
(2) contacts in Group B are only visible to Team 1 and Team 2

Heres what i did:
(1) create a group named "Group A" and select "Access Control" as group type and "users and users admin" as group visibility
and then add the appropriate contacts to this group.
(2) create a role "Team 1" and assign edit operation to "Team 1" role for "Group A" group
(3) create a group named "Group B" and select "Access Control" as group type and "users and users admin" as group visibility
and then add the appropriate contacts to this group.
(4) assign edit operation to "Team 1" role for "Group B" group
(5) create a role "Team 2" and assign edit operation to "Team 2" role for "Group B" group

If "Team 1" users use "contacts=>new individual" method to add new contact, then "Team 1" users can add the new contact to the appropriate group.
But if "Team 1" users use "events=>register event participant" and add new contact, how to assign new contact to the appropriate group?

Actually, ive updated the "new individual" profile and added "Group" field.  But "group" field is not visible to all users accessing "new individual" profile
