Error on send email registration even if there's "no" in send registration email
November 10, 2011, 08:46:54 am
Hi everyone,
I have set an event with registration, when the users register itself on the confirmation page there is this error:

Error: authentication failure [SMTP: Invalid response code received from SMTP (outbound mail) server while attempting to send email. This is often caused by a misconfiguration in the CiviCRM Outbound Email settings. Please verify the settings at Administer CiviCRM >> Global Settings >> Outbound Email (SMTP). (code: 535, response: Incorrect authentication data)]

In the event page under ->Register Online-> Send confirmation email is on "no"

I would like to send the mail in future but now I have necessity to remove this error, so the user see the confirmation page without errors..

The question is: why it try to send email even if there is the option "send no email confirmation"?

Thanks

johnsopaul
