Front-end profile display error
November 12, 2011, 03:22:58 am
Hi - I have created a profile form for a simple contact search, so that registered users can search contacts in the Joomla front end.  When I select the front end menu option, I get the following error message:

"You do not have permission to view this contact record. Contact the site administrator if you need assistance."

The page includes a link "Back to listings". Following this link shows a complete list of contacts.

All fields in the Profile are set to "Public Pages and Listings".
The Joomla menu item type is CiviCRM Profile Search Form (but I have also tried CiviCRM Profile View with the same result).
The Joomla menu item access level is set to "Registered"

The form works fine in the back end when I access it using the relevant URL.

I've obviously missed something ... what?

Thanks for any help

OK - it was a problem with Joomla user to Civi contact sync.

But the profile page now displays the profile for the logged-in user, whereas I would like to go straight to the listing of contacts.  From the wiki I see that you can do this in Drupal by customising the URL but can this also be done in Joomla where the Menu Manager does not allow you to customise the URL?

Thanks
