Scalability of CiviCRM

Not sure if this is the correct board.

I have recently been investigating Drupal and CiviCRM 'multi-organis(z)ation' setups. As I understand it, I can have lots of organisations sharing the same installation files. How many organisations/websites can share the same install?

I am currently testing one with 5, but could 100 different organisations share the same install? And, if server capacity wasn't a problem, is there a limit? Have you any advice on the same?
