Any way to show Progress Bar on Confirm Contribution

Is there a API call  to show progress bar or do i  have to make a custom preloader that will show when user cllick submit button, any  idea on how to do it? pls help me

Currently there is no api etc to show progress bar in this case :(

Yeah i find it very slow,,
Maybe because i am saving records to db after paypal returns payment status success,
Thats why i want to disable background and display progress bar to prevent user clicking other button while page is still busy
