Will Transition to Google Wallet Effect Google Checkout Integration?
November 18, 2011, 12:05:43 pm
Has anyone looked into whether or not the Google Checkout/Wallet announcement this week will effect how google checkout integration works on the merchant side of things?

In there FAQ (http://www.google.com/support/wallet/bin/answer.py?answer=1691527) they mentioned that for now nothing changes for Google Checkout merchants. So don't think anything would change w.r.t integration (for now).

I think "for now" may have ended. I have a client using google checkout, and today they just reported that they get an error when they try to go to a "process credit card transaction" form.

"Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred.
You will need to configure the live settings for your Payment Processor before you can submit credit card transactions."

Nothing has changes with their payment processor settings.  I am going to have to look into this tomorrow.

On 12/22 client received an email with the following:
We've made several unsuccessful attempts to send order notifications to your notification callback URL, https://[clientdomain.com]/sites/all/modules/civicrm/extern/googleNotify.php As a result, you aren't receiving order status, risk, or other notifications.
>
> To help you identify the issue with your callback URL, please review the errors we encountered while sending notifications to you. To review this error information:

> Sign in to Google Checkout.
> Click on the Tools tab.
> Click Integration Console.
>
> Error messages will appear under 'Integration Issues.' If necessary, you can also update your callback URL in the 'API callback URL' box on the same page.

I've looked but can't find the corresponding error.  I do have a number of unrelated errors.

Has anyone else seen any problems since the google checkout => google wallet changeover?
