How do you put a persons name to an organisation
November 21, 2011, 01:25:24 am
Hi Everyone

Im sure this is really simple but i just cant see it.

When you create a new organisation and you fill in the address that's all fine, but how do you put a primary contact name to the record? so when you send a letter it puts a name on the letter as well as the company name and address.

Thank you guys

Chelcone

I think best way would be to create a custom data of type organization to store the information about primary contact. Then us the token of that custom field it to send letter etc.

I did suspect that. I thought that it might be something to do with relationships, so if the relationship was a certain type to an organisation then it would put them in a mail merge but evidently not haha.

Thanks for the fast reply :)
