Hi,
I'm using the Parent Group function to combine multiple sub-groups of contacts.  The problem is that the parent group shows the wrong number of contacts.  It shows the actual contacts I expect - it's just the record count that is wrong.

Each sub-group shows the right contacts and counts.  I've tried removing all the sub-groups and adding them back in individually.  Eg:
Check parent group has no members
Add one sub-group of 37 members
Parent group shows 53 members, but correctly lists the 37

The difference varies, so my sub-groups have 10,37,36,36 and 38 entries but when added individually to the parent group shows as 20,52,61,54 and 57 entries

There has been a lot of merging activity so I wonder whether it relates to that.

I've tried a variety of searches including Search Builder but can't get it to list anything other than the expected records, but the count stays stubbornly wrong!

Is this a known issue?  Any suggestions for starting to debug this?

This is CiviCRM 4.0.7 on Joomla 1.6.5

1) The sub-groups are static
2) Yes - look at "My parent group" : http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/group/search?reset=1&force=1&context=smog&gid=8

It correctly lists 5 contacts but reports 10 records.

"My parent group" is the parent of "My sub-group1"

Many thanks - the patch has fixed my issue.
