hi, i have a question when it comes to duplicate checking. we are using an older version of civicrm (v. 3.1.2) ... one of our records keeps showing up  as a duplicate when we are entering in new contacts.

1. i dont think there is enough info in the above to even venture a guess what is happening and why

2. 3.1 is fairly old (and unsupported), that most of us dont remember its feature set or quirks

1. what information would be helpful to begin to solve the issue.

2. yes i know its ancient and unsupported. but i was handed what i was handed, and right now i cant do anything about it other than attempt to find answers. pushing for the organization to upgrade.
