Hi there,

I would like to configure CiviEvent in such a way that Members must be approved before they are able to register for events. I don't want that approval to be event-specific (as in "Approval Required configuration for online event registration"); rather, I would like to screen members before allowing them to register for an unlimited number of events.

My first thought was that I might create a membership type that only administrators could apply to new members that would allow those members to register. I'm not sure to go about that, however, and would appreciate any pointers to existing documentation on how to get such a system going.

I would be grateful for any insight.
