Limiting characters in a TextArea
November 29, 2011, 12:35:54 pm
I created a custom field with a data input of Note > TextArea. Is there any way to limit the number of words or characters that someone can input? I see that I could do that if I made it Alphanumeric > Text by the database field length but I do not see that same option as a textarea.

no way to do this via the UI

one option might be to use jQuery and implement a jQ widget to do the needful
