How can I modify the Badge Format name?
December 05, 2011, 07:52:34 am
I have modified Logo5395.php. And everything is working fine. Nice pdf labels with new logo and so forth.

But how can I rename Logo5395.php and the Badge Format name? "5395 with logo" is misguiding - and will be overwritten after upgrade (I suppose).

I have read this: http://civicrm.org/blogs/xavier/new-features-civievent-32-name-badges-and-place-cards

But I need a more simple explanation.

Can anyone help me?

Best Regards

Pelle

If you rename and existing badge format, it will get erased on the next update (likely)

The proper steps are:
- copy one you like as a template
- modify it so the name of the class matches the name of the file
- and register it as a new template on /civicrm/admin/options/event_badge?group=event_badge&reset=1

Could you clarify what needs to be clarified in the blog post?

Thanks for quick response

A major problem for me is the civicrm/admin/options/event_badge?group=event_badge&reset=1 link

I am working on forstyr.dk. So I suppose I should use:

http://www.forstyr.dk/civicrm/admin/options/event_badge?group=event_badge&reset=1

But nothing happens...

Am I misunderstanding something?

Not sure about the urls on j!

Go to a contact, and wherever in the url you have civicrm/contact/view, replace by civicrm/admin/option/event_badge&group=event_badge

Thanks for your time.

I followed your advice.

It leaves me with: www.forstyr.dk/administrator/?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/admin/option/event_badge&group=event_badge

And that gives me Administer CiviCRM.

Something is rotten in Denmark.

Hey,

Shakespeare notwithstanding, got quite a few comments about the politics in your country if you're looking at what's rotten, but not sure that's what you're looking for, so I doubt I will be able to give you a useful advice.

did try to look at the joomla demo, didn't find how to access the admin part.

Somewhere in the option lists there is something to set the badge format. I have no idea how J! constructs the urls, sorry.

Could you post that question on the joomla forum here, see if Brian or another J! guru can help?
