Collect Donations or Memberships During CiviEvent Checkout

Is it possible to formally integrate/embed Contribute or Member forms in the CiviEvent Checkout process?  I didn't see it in the demo, and haven't had success in much review of the FlossManuals, and Googling.

I could definitely see providing links to these in the Thanks page of the Event Registration, and of course, in a menu module, but the client wants Contribute and Member in the checkout process, if possible.

Ideas?  Thanks.

Currently these are not linked, though linking the two has come up in the past. So would be a good addition if you can investigate and figure out what needs to be done and submit  a patch

You can use price-sets & include donations (but they won't be separately recorded).

If you have any interest in helping fund this you want to get in touch with Joe Murray & work it into the CiviAccounts brief as that project works towards this goal but it is out-of-scope at the moment

But when I turn on Price Sets, it looks like my lovingly entered pricing structure disappears, to be replaced by the price sets, presumably.  Is there some setting to append Price Sets to the end of Event Registration somehow?

You're right - you have to lovingly construct a price set if you want to use pricesets :-(
