Storage Location for Drupal E-mail address
February 06, 2008, 07:32:42 pm
I have for profiles set up - one for registering a new user, and three for displaying users info (based on three different membership types, each tied to a smart group).  The registration profile shows up on the Drupal user registration page.  Since there is already an e-mail address entered in Drupal, I don't have an e-mail address field in the profile.  For this site, the addresses are using the Work address fields.  However, when entering a new user via Drupal, it seems to automatically use the Home e-mail address field instead of Work.  Is there a way to force it to use the Work e-mail field?  Or will I need to add an e-mail address field in the registration profile?

I have a second question along these lines.  I have a menu item set up that uses the display profiles to display a listing of the group members.  Next to each name, there are three links: View, Edit, and Web Site Profile.  "View" displays the fields in the display profile for that contact (which is what I want).  "Edit" brings up the display profile to edit the record, and "Website Profile" brings up the contact in the registration profile (which I don't want).  What controls those links, so I can get rid of the "Website Profile" link?

Thanks.

In CiviCRM,  default Location type is Home. Hence it always adds to Home email address. You can change this to Work in your case.
Check Administer CiviCRM >> Location Types.

Check Advanced Settings of Profile that your are using and then uncheck  "Include Drupal user account information links in search results?"
This would remove "Website Profile" link.
