Saving Queries

Hi,

The site I'm working on would like the ability to save queries. I'm aware of the Search Builder, but I feel that is too complex for the average user.

I was wondering if the qfKey of a search form could be used to save the query. What is the lifetime of a qfKey?

Edit: Is there also any way to automatically generate a report from a query?

1. You can save a search as a smart group, which is bsically a saved query

2. Currently reports cannot be automatically generated from  query

I thought that option only applied to the Search Builder.
