[SOLVED] Error building Admin Menus

Hi,

Joomla 1.7.3
Install from directory after unzipping package after un-installing 4.08

JInstaller::Install: Cannot find Joomla XML setup file
JInstaller::Install: Cannot find XML file
Error Building Admin Menus
JFTP::write: Unable to use passive mode
Unable to write entry

re-running the install completes with a single Error Building Admin Menus

The solution is not to delete the tables of extensions but the menu entry in the #__menu table of Joomla of that extension and then install it again.
