CiviCRM Menu not appearing

This is a new thread following on from a question asked here...REPLY #19 - http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,22484.msg95520.html#msg95520 and the subsequent response from Hershel.

The following files were highlighted from the net tab in Firebug as Error 304 Not Modified and al remaining files were 202 OK:

Sounds like no files are noted as missing or not found in the Net tab.

What about the Console tab of Firebug? Any errors there?

Did anything change on the site to cause this problem?

Hi. On the console tab there are few items listed which I have attached.

I have not worked with the CiviCRM component much apart from setting up the membership levels and adding a few events to trial the layout of our events page. The only other items of significance that has been added since I last used the CiviCRM is a flash game aprt from that only articles have been added with a few pictures. No Joomla extensions or add-ins have been added.

Do you think it would solve itself if we reinstalled it or would this cause further problems.

You have a lot of errors there, that's why your menus fail. The errors "jQuery is not defined" and "cj is not a function" which you have generally mean files are not found. Can you review the Net tab again and make sure all files are loading?

Still not getting any missing files with all status showing OK.

What do you think about uninstalling and installing it again? Unfortunately I am not the one creating the site as a web desigtner is doing that for me while I work with the CiviCRM after he just installed it.

If it worked before and now it fails, either something on your site was changed OR the files were lost somehow. Send me a login offline and I will look at it for you.
