Anonymous Access difficulty
May 15, 2007, 07:56:10 am
Hi,

I am having trouble getting my contribution pages to display for anonymous users.
I have given anonymous users "make online contributions" permissions in drupal

when accessing the page as anonymous I get:

Sorry. A non-recoverable error has occurred.
This profile is not configured for the requested action. Contact the site administrator if you need assistance.
Return to CiviCRM menu.

What am I doing wrong?

Interestingly or not I have no problem accessing CiviEvent registration pages anonymously.

I am using drupal 5.1 civicrm 1.7

Mike - Check the following:
* Access control for Anonymous includes "profile listings and forms"
* Any profile(s) you've included as "Custom Page Elements" in your CiviContribute form include only fields for record types Individual and/or Contribution.
* Also, try checking the Used For: "Profile" checkbox in those Profile(s) Settings screen.

Marvelous.
Thanks Dave that sorted it. ;D

just one thing..

I notice the 'used for' check boxes for the profile I have included in the civiContribute page is marked with an 'x' is this because it is used in an active civicontribute form and can't be unticked?

When creating a new profile I don't have the 'used for CiviContribute' checkbox at all. Is this normal?

Yes. The Used for CiviContribute checkbox will show up if you assign that profile to an Online Contribution page.

I'm having this same difficulty, or at least a very similar one.  My contribution page appears but my custom profile does not appear to anonymous users. All three settings mentioned above have been confirmed to be set correctly and it's still not appearing. It's driving me slightly nuts. Any additional ideas?

Figured it out. In Access Control the setting for "access custom data" also needs to be checked.
