Help with CiviContribute Page
December 28, 2011, 11:48:34 am
Hello,

I am very new to CiviCRM and I am stuck. I have set up a contribution page to collect membership dues for my club here:

http://www.midmdtri.org/civicrm/contribute/transact?reset=1&id=1

I would like to extend my Membership Profile to include the Liability Waiver as well (rather than having two profiles like it is now), however I would like to be able to customize the appearance of the waiver text so it is not just pre or post text for a field. If someone has a recommended approach to get me started, any help would be much appreciated.

Looking at the form, I'm not quite sure what you don't like about it. Can you be more specific?
If you just want to tweak how the liability text looks, you can do so with a bit of css, like you can put it in a scrolling box by giving its div a height and overflow property.
Try asking your question on the new CiviCRM help site.

My main objective is to remove the requirement for a user to create a login. I disabled it on both profiles, but it's still showing up. I thought maybe if I condensed all of the fields into one profile that was associated with an email address that it might remove the login requirement? I could be on the wrong track.

Hi Cat - only way the Drupal User field should be showing is if one of the included Profiles is requiring at afaik.

If not the case, can you replicate on Demo?

I just tried to replicate on demo and got everything setup in a way that I think is similar to my site:

http://d7.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/contribute/transact?reset=1&id=4

However, the login section only shows up when viewing the page as an anonymous user and it looks like the demo site is not set up to allow contribution pages to be viewed by anyone. Not sure how or if it is even possible to change that on the demo site.

Okay, I was using two custom profiles on the contribution page ... Member Profile in the "top" position collected all of the member information. Liability Waiver as "bottom" had just the review/sign information for the waiver.

When I removed the Liability Waiver profile and just used the Member Profile, the requirement to create a user account disappeared. Then I tried switching to use just the Liability Waiver and there was still no requirement for a user account. Putting them both back, the requirement to create a user account reappeared.

Is that expected?
