Cant access smtp "outgoing mail" settings

I can't access the outgoing mail settings, on my liver server I get a error 500 (Server Error) and on my local I get a white screen of death. This happened after upgrading to 4.1beta1/

And no mail is getting sent out from civicrm. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot this?

Can you see an error logged in the error logs?

Hi  Hershel,

The issue was related to a move from my local server to the live one. I did not see any error logs, out of frustration i resolved the issue by reinstalling 4.1beta 1 from scratch.
