Cost of Consultant
December 30, 2011, 05:03:43 pm
I would like to apply for grant money to facilitate the conversion of our current data management system to civicrm.  Is there somewhere I can find a budget for how much this might cost?  I am hoping to circumvent the process of asking numerous consultants for quotes individually.

Thanks!

That is really hard to say because it largely depends of the quality of your source data. If there are lots of inconsistencies, it will simply take more time. Also, what data do you want to migrate? Is it basic contact data or are groups, tags, events etc. required? So it is next to impossible to come up with a generic price for a migration, the amount of work can vary from half a day to weeks of work.

As Erik said, it is virtually impossible to estimate this accurately. For all the reasons he said and more.

thanks for your question - I'm doing exactly the same thing! Perhaps we should talk off line?
