Stuck with "proxy URL that you gave is invalid"
January 03, 2012, 05:48:34 am
I have a client with Drupal 7.10 and CiviCRM 4.0.8.

The server has PHP Version 5.3.6. "Soap Client" and "Soap Server" are enabled. "DOM/XML API Version" is 20031129. The Net::SMTP and the Authen::SASL Perl modules (I saw once somewhere that you may require these).

On the server

Code: [Select]
telnet civismtp.uas.coop 20095
shows:

Code: [Select]
Connected to civismtp.uas.coop.
Using the username and password on https://civismtp.uas.coop/drupal/civismtp/account for this account, I can login to Drupal and access CiviMail.

The "Soap Proxy URL" provided appears correct. If I access that URL in my browser, I see nothing, which is correct. If I put

Code: [Select]
echo 'hello';
at the bottom of that file and then access it in a browser or via wget, then I see:

Quote
hello

Seems the file is executing without error.

This is not a multi-site install and so there is no locations file of which I am aware.

But when testing settings, I see

Quote
Civimail User Check : it appears that the proxy URL that you gave is invalid

Can you advise what may the problem here?

Solution was to correctly set the "Drupal Users Table Name" on civicrm/admin/setting/uf?reset=1

Thank you for your help offline, shane et al.
