Missing variables in Message receipts

Some variables seem missing from Contribution receipts such as $billingName and $address in 'Contributions Receipt- offline' and also $billingName in 'Memberships - Receipt (on-line)' if someone pays by paypal.

Seems similar to this issue: http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-8105
Can anyone point me in the right direction for which files to look at to fix/patch this problem?
