Advanced Search - Relationships by Date

It would be helpful if we could search for contacts that have temporary relationships to another entity. For example, we have students who are here for one or more semester. Other examples would be past interns, employees, volunteers, etc.  :)

Hi Brylie - Seems like Start Date From / To and End Date From / To could fit into the Relationships pane nicely. Might be a good code sprint project :-) We're looking at doing some code sprints before and after CiviCon SF (which is April 2nd - and which you hopefully already have on your calendar) - announcements / dates to follow shortly.

This would be hugely useful for us as well. I'm looking at how to indicate current students of our center, and was planning to use Relationships for this. But I then need to be able to search by the End Date of all "Student of" relationships to find the set of alumni from a given year -- just realized that the Advanced Search won't let me do this :(

I was also hoping to be able to search on the Relationship Description field, which will be storing job titles (I can't use the Civi Job Title field for this as many of our constituents have multiple concurrent jobs).

Here, here. Ability to search by Start and End Date of relationships is definitely needed.

Shouldn't all fields in core be available in Advanced Search?
