double civicrm settings in database

Searching for the cause of http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php/topic,22973.0.html I found double items in the 'civicrm settings' database tabelrow. See the attachment. Can I safely delete the double rows and make a new setup in CiviCRM?

I am not sure how you ended up with duplicate rows, but I think it should be safe to delete duplicates.

When I look at de date in the fields then I see that the CiviCRM alpha1  setup is not overwriten by the newer versions, there is a new field made with the same name. I deleted the older alpha setup. It looks ok now.
