I am getting this error:

  The requested Profile (gid=) is disabled, OR there is no Profile with that ID, OR a valid 'gid=' integer value is missing from the URL

I have read about uncommenting $cookie_domain = 'example.com'; but I can not find this in the settings. 

It throws an error on some browsers not all.  Still can't figure it out.

Here is the drupal topic I was looking at for direction  http://forum.civicrm.org/index.php?topic=21507.0

Any ideas?

What's the url you trying to access. If you have added profile to frontend, can you make sure it is enabled or exists.

You can find the profile list here: http://joomla.demo.civicrm.org/administrator/index2.php?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/admin/uf/group&reset=1
