Joomla User Email Address <--> Profile Primary Email Address

Hi,

J!: 1.7.3
CiviCRM: 4.0.7

On my J! site the users are able to login using their email address associated with their J! user record. This same email address is their primary email address in CiviCRM. Is it possible to automatically update the email address in the J! record whenever the primary email address changes in the CiviCRM user profile assuming that the CiviCRM record has the associated J! user record ID?

Any pointers, help greatly appreciated.

This is working fine if you update the contact email from main contact edit form. So basically it updates joomla user's email when primary email is changed using contact edit form. So may be check how it is working on main contact edit form and implement it for profile.

This is not the behaviour I am seeing in J! 1.7.3 & CiviCRM 4.0.7. When I edit a contact that is associated with the J! user that only has one email (hence the primary email) I can change the email address in CiviCRM and when I go and have a look in the J! user record the email address there is unchanged.

What am I missing?
