Remove link "Back to listings"

Hi,

- J!: 1.7.3
- CiviCRM: 4.0.7

I have created a custom profile to use in the front end. I notice however that when I click Save it has a link to "Return To Listings". How do I remove that link? I don't want users to be able to list all the contents of the CRM.

You can use custom templates to customize profile page and remove link to listing page. This might be helpful: http://book.civicrm.org/developer/techniques/templates

I recently discovered  the identical problem and, looking back, I think my entire database was accessible to the whole world perhaps for months. Although I easily solved it by adding a landing page under Profiles > Settings, this is a serious security issue and there are probably thousands of sites like mine that are wide open. Whatever template is creating that "Back to Listings" link needs to be changed urgently.

Hi,

That's easy to shoot oneself in the foot indeed. Removing the link won't solve the problem as it would still be accessible.

The explanations about what "profile" means as profile is probably not clear enough (nor the public & search either probably). Would be great if you have a look at the wiki and see if you can improve the explanation (or the help text)
