Create new CiviCRM user in Joomla
January 25, 2012, 12:42:02 am
Hi,

This is undoubtedly a very easy question - sorry about that.

I have set up CiviCRM 4 on Joomla 1.7 on Windows Server 2008 R2.

I can access the Admin interface, but how do I create a user to use the the CRM system? I have created a Joomla user and made them into a CiviCRM contact, but now what?? Most of the documentation (understandably) covers Drupal.

Thank you!!

Right, I have set up the ACL info for the group the new user is in to give access to a vareity of CiviCRM functionality - but when I log in to Joomla with that user I get an empty Joomla screen. What am I missing??

Ah, looks like I might have got somewhere, it's just that none of it shows up on Joomla, according to this:

Which seems rather odd.

Well, this is all very confusing. I want to be able to have an administrator with access to everything and also several users - fund raisers who will use the CRM system.

I may have to abandon what I've done and try setting the whole thing up on Drupal instead.
